JOSE LUIS GARCIA SERRANO PEDRO ANDÚJAR (GUIDE) Spain's strong performances in visually impaired triathlon in recent years are in part thanks to Jose Luis García Serrano, one of the most experienced of the PTVI class athletes on the Tokyo 2020 start line who burst onto the scene in 2014 and within two years was crowned world champion in Rotterdam. The 38-year-old lost his sight in 2012 but continues to pursue his love of skiing and surfing as well as triathlon and won the silver at WTPS Yokohama in May to fuel his confidence for a first Paralympic podium.
