THIBAUT RUIGAUDEAU CYRILL VIENNOT (GUIDE) Thibaut Rigaudeau's first sport and passion was football but suffering from retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative genetic disease of the eye, forced him to reassess his sporting goals. After a time playing blind football, he discovered the world of triathlon following a meeting with Cyrill Viennot in 2018. Viennot became the 31-year-old's guide and, training 25 hours a week together, Rigaudeau soon found success at the top level, winning bronze at the 2019 Magog Para Cup. Podiums in his first two Para Series events in Yokohama and Leeds earlier this year suggest the relative newcomer will be one to watch as he makes his Paralympic debut in Tokyo.
