Hungary's Zsanett Bragmayer delivered a dominant performance at the second leg of the 2023 Arena Games in Sursee to take the women's gold, while Henri Schoeman heralded his return from injury and illness with the men's gold. South Africa's 2016 Olympic Games bronze medallist took control on the second of the day's three stages, laying down a major marker ahead of the Finals in London by holding off a packed chase group over the closing run. France's Maxime Hueber-Moosbrugger took second, with Swiss racer Simon Westermann pleasing the home crowds with bronze. Bragmayer won each of her three stages to produce a second Games win, having previously taken the 2022 Singapore leg. GB's Olivia Mathias was first to push the pace, but Bragmayer took the opening stage, then held off Cathia Schar (SUI) and Rani Skrabanja (NED) to take a 30-second lead into the final that she never relinquished.
