Paved tarred/asphalt roads should not exceed 15% of the total course. c) The course must be free of all significant obstacles except those which have been expressly included or about which the riders have been warned. There must not be any obstacles that might cause a crash or a collision in the transition areas. d) No motorized traffic besides officials and safety is authorized on the course. e) Directional signage is placed at 2m high. f ) Not less than 95% of the circuit must be completed by riding the bike. The circuit must be planned in a way that overpassing is possible in its majority. 7.3.6. Running a) The run segment must be planned with a cross country run concept. b) The course for a cross-country race should include, where possible, forest roads and tracks, fields, earth or gravel paths and include significant amounts of climbing and descending. Finish The finish straight must be at least 60m and allow for a sprint finish for several competitors.
