4. Outstanding accommodations
and facilities
Lausanne is ready to welcome visitors from all over the world in the best possible conditi-
ons. Today, there are already many more rooms (in all categories) in the Lausanne surroun-
dings than required by the ITU for the Grand Final.
The long lasting collaboration between the city of Lausanne, Lausanne Tourism and
Lausanne Triathlon ensure a smooth organisation for the participants. The hotels are expe-
rienced in welcoming triathletes and facilitating the logistics needed for such a complicated
event to organise.
Since 2010, the number of beds and rooms in 1, 2 and 3 stars hotels drastically increased,
up to 41% for 3-star hotel, in Lausanne and surrounding region. The trend is expected to
continue in the next years with other major events coming to the Olympic Capital in the near
future.
Lausanne hospitality is a guarantee of high-quality welcome in the best possible conditions
and will be a positive contribution to the enjoyment of all visitors.
