According to the projected growth and development of the LOC, the organising team would
get bigger and bigger as the opening ceremony gets closer. Regarding the volunteers, it can
be expected that around 1000 people will be necessary to run this event and to deliver the
greatest event possible in a professional manner. The organising committee have the chan-
ce to can count on a dedicated association in Lausanne called "Les Volontaire Sportifs Laus-
annois (VSL)" who has more than 1300 fully trained and active volunteers eager to take part
in exciting sport events in and around Lausanne. Beside the VSL, the organising committee
can count on Swiss Olympic who has more than 40'000 people registered as volunteers.
The next section presents an organigram which gives an overview of the organisation of
the team in charge of organising the ITU Triathlon Grand Final. The organigram shows that
the executive board is composed of people involve politics, business, tourism and sport. This
strong team would do anything possible to organise the best event possible for the partici-
pants and spectators.
