TRIATHLON 2016 I WORLD CUP RACES 180 TISZAUJVAROS TURNS 20 POLYANSKIY AND TOMLIN CLAIM TISZY CROWNS For this year's 20th anniversary of the Tiszaujvaros World Cup, the race maintained its semi-finals and finals format, with three semifinals for the men and two for the female triathletes. A great mix of newcomers and previous Tiszy winners claimed the podium at the 2016 ITU Tiszaujvaros World Cup, with Russian Dmitry Polyanskiy and American Renee Tomlin claiming the golds. The northern Hungarian town is one of the longest running World Cups in ITU history. In the men's race, Igor Polyanskiy – Dmitry's brother – finished second and local hero Tamas Toth (HUN) completed the podiums, while Ukraine's Yuliya Yelistratova and Russia's Elena Danilova finished second and third in the women's race. "It was a great race. The atmosphere was amazing, and I felt really good since the beginning", said Tomlin after winning the race. As for the men's, it was Dmitry's second win in Tiszy, having won in 2009, while his younger brother was the previous Tiszy champion.
