On day one, Austra- lia again dominated the women's heats with Char- lotte McShane and Tamsyn Moana-Veale the two winners, while all of the men's favourites advanced to the finals led by heat winners Yegor Martynenko (UKR), Declan Wilson (AUS) and Anthony Pujades (FRA). But in the women's final it was the USA's Katie Hursey who scored back-to-back World Cup wins with a brilliantly tactical race, keeping herself in the chase group before exploding on the run. Aileen Reid (IRL) finished second and Sara Vilic (AUT) completed the podium. In the thrilling men's final, 2013 U23 European champion Florin Salvisberg was in the lead of the race from start to finish as he collected his first ITU World Cup win. Francesc Godoy (ESP) silver was his first career WC medal, while Frederic Belaubre (FRA) collected bronze.
