BOARD & COMMITTEES // 21 Patrick Moore Finance Patrick is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds both a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Alberta) and Master of Professional Accounting (University of Saskatchewan) degree. As an Assurance Partner in MNP's Edmonton office, Patrick manages a variety of engagements for not-for-profit organizations, services organizations, medium and large private clients, and large groups of companies. A former triathlete, Patrick joined the WTS Board of Directors as a way to give back to both the sporting community and promote the City of Edmonton internationally. Brian Hetherington Government Affairs Brian has worked for the Edmonton Triathlon organizations since 1998, when he was part of the team that made the pitch to ITU to stage the 2001 World Championship. He has remained on the board throughout the intervening years, including being one of the three founding directors of the Edmonton Triathlon Academy. Brian has worked in government and public affairs in his native England and Canada for more than four decades. His responsibilities for the Grand Final will include being in charge of all government relations. Margaret Kool Marketing and Communications Margaret has been involved in the communications industry in Alberta for more than 30 years. In 1991 she founded her own firm, Margaret Kool Marketing (mkm). With offices in Edmonton and Calgary, Margaret was actively involved in the company's management and was the Director of Client Services. Margaret's community involvement includes sitting on a number of community boards, including World Triathlon Series Edmonton. Pat Hutchison Strategic Planning Pat Hutchison is a marketing and communications strategy consultant with significant experience leading through growth and change. She has assisted public organizations and private enterprises identify and exploit growth opportunities, revitalize brands and connect effectively with target audiences. Prior to establishing her consultancy, Pat was a marketing executive with The Edmonton Journal and a communications manager for Esso Petroleum/ Imperial Oil. WTS - Edmonton is of special interest to Pat as it reinforces community engagement in health and fitness. Kent Miller Competition and Operations Kent Miller is currently a Senior Project Manager with ATCO Electric. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada and developed his leadership skills over 13 years as an army officer. He transitioned out of military to raise his family in Edmonton. It was his love for the Edmonton community and desire to champion an active lifestyle that led Kent to the WTS Edmonton Board of Directors.
