Dear Ms. Casado,
On behalf of Triathlon Canada, it is my pleasure to give our unconditional support
to the Edmonton bid for the 2019 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final.
Both the 2001 Edmonton ITU World Championships and the 2014 Edmonton ITU
Grand Final were outstanding successes, having contributed to further
developing the sport through legacies and the ongoing commitment to host ITU
events. It is worth noting that the 2014 ITU Grand Final won the Canadian Sport
Tourism Prestige award for the Best International event hosted in Canada in
2014.
Triathlon Canada is appreciative of the strong partnership that exists with City of
Edmonton and Edmonton Events. It is our intent to work closely with the City and
the LOC to once again deliver an event at the highest level that will showcase the
athletes, the community and the entire triathlon family.
