2. Flawless organisation Switzerland, the State of Vaud and Lausanne have extensive experience in the hosting of sports events. This experience naturally covers international events but also on a day-to- day basis in the context of national events, events for the general public or on a smaller scale. These projects have always been the fruit of a seamless cooperation between several officials departments, local clubs and associations and the organising committees. The col- laborations have shown to be very effective over the years. a. Fully dedicated Human Resources Lausanne 2019 plans to work in collaboration with various departments of the State of Vaud and the city of Lausanne. Both are fully devoted to sport and wants the region to shine through international events, the teams make a unbelievable work to attract sports federa- tions and associations in order to enhance and support the sport cluster of the region which can be compared to the Silicon Valley of sport. Their experience and skills will be essential in order to allocate key staff. From 2016, the organising committee would be fully committed to the organisation of the event. The team would be composed as followed: • 2 full-time position from 2016 • 1 intern position (full-time co-ordinator) • 5 full time position beginning 18 months prior to the event • Service des Sports of the city of Lausanne • Lausanne Tourism • Police and Fire Departments of Lausanne From 2016, the Event Director and the Technical Director would work full time on the event. They would be assisted by an intern who will be hired to help for the coordination the pro- ject. In addition, the "Service des Sports" of Lausanne will have a dedicated team on hand to work on the project and assist the team with any issues they could have during this phase. As the Secretary General of the organising committee works for the sport department of the city Lausanne, he will be seconded to the ITU Triathlon Grand Final in order to ensure enough preparation timing. The Police and the Fire Departments of Lausanne will also bring additional support to the organising committee as both commandants are involved in the Executive Board and acti- vely involved in the Grand Final project. Their experience in organising such events will be very valuable for the organising committee. Lausanne Tourism would also be involved in the organising committee and would provide a dedicated workforce and help to organise the event. Their extensive network and know-how would be really beneficial to take care of every small details that can occur throughout the whole planning process. 30 – ITU Triathlon Grand Final
