7. Premium congress setting
The venue for the congress will match the ambition of Lausanne 2019 to make Triathlon
shine at the hearth of the Olympic Capital. The city of Lausanne offers many different loca-
tions to host the ITU congress and its 250 to 300 guests. The organisation of the congress
will be prepared in close collaboration with our partners, Lausanne Tourism, who are used to
organising high quality international events such the SportAccord convention or the TEDx
convention. The team is experienced and knows how important it is to make the partici-
pants feel at home.
The potential venues for the ITU convention could be the following:

The definitive venue would be chosen in due time according to the ITU final needs and pre-
ferences. The organising committee prefers to stay flexible and adapt to the ITU. Howe-
ver, in order to match the image of the ITU and reinforce its Olympic status, Lausanne 2019
would recommend to host the ITU congress at the Beau-Rivage Palace. As the ITU official
hotel, it would be the most convenient option and the best location to look into the future
of Triathlon.
The venues cited above are very flexible and offer each many different rooms of various
size and are well known for their versatility as they can adapt to perfectly match the client's
needs.
The detailed organisation of the congress will be further discussed with the ITU officials
during the organising phase in due time.
