Incomparable offer of services for… … Staff and Volunteer The core professional team fully dedicated to the organisation of the Triathlon Grand Final will be supported by the "Service des Sports" of the city of Lausanne who will provide the organising committee with all additional the resources they may need. Lausanne benefits from a large pool of more than 1300 fully trained volunteers used to take part in international sport events in Lausanne and elsewhere in Switzerland thanks to his programme "Volontaires Sportifs Vaudois". In addition, more than 40'000 people are regi- stered on Swiss Olympic volunteers' lists which enables Lausanne 2019 to gain access to wealth of knowledge volunteers. Given the full access to resources, along with ability to second resources from the city; the Lausanne 2019 bid committee does not foresee any potential difficulties regarding the workforce availability in order to organise and host the ITU Triathlon Grand Final. The exten- sive human resources and the support coming from many different city departments will guarantee a fully professional and focused organising committee dedicated to hosting a great event. In addition, a plan is already in place that will ensure that volunteers are tested before the Grand Final event takes place. This will ensure that they receive top training in different fields to make sure that the best services possible are delivered in 2019. … Athletes As the most important group of the event, Lausanne 2019 plans to do everything in its pow- er in order to anticipate their needs; offering them the best service possible and to make them feel welcome and comfortable in Lausanne. Every athlete will receive an "Athlete Handbook" upon their arrival with all the major infor- mation concerning their stay in Lausanne and the programme of the competition. The ser- vices provided to the athletes includes (free of charge for the elite athletes): • Welcome at information booth at the Geneva airport, hotel and venues • Transportation from the airport to their hotel and to the venues • Internet access in hotel lobby and at registration facility • Medical services • Training services: access to bike and run courses and swimming pool facilities for 2 sessi- ons daily during the lead up to the race • Free access to the swimming pool at Bellerive and Mon-Repos in Lausanne • Course familiarisation: escorted swim, run and bike course with adequate traffic control • Bike mechanics • Uniform printing services • Each elite athlete will receive a subsidy of 300$ USD as included in the budget 40 – ITU Triathlon Grand Final
