… VIP / Sponsors The organising committee will put in place a hosting plan dedicated to the VIP and the spon- sors. Hostesses and stewards will be on hand to take care of all VIPs, helping to guide them and answer to their needs and demands throughout the whole event. All VIPs will have ac- cess to guides who can escort them into the city or on their way to the sport venues and to the hotel. Everything will be done to make all VIPs feel valued and ensure that they enjoy their stay in Lausanne. The services to the VIP and Sponsors includes: • Transportation from the airport to Lausanne in VIP shuttles and to race venues as well as to social functions. • VIP and Sponsors will receive a booklet at their arrival with all the necessary information to enjoy their stay in Lausanne. • VIP accreditation would be provided to all VIP level sponsors and guests. Invitations will be issued to the on-site VIP tent and to all social functions as per Event Agreement and Sponsorship and Event Design guide. • VIP and Sponsors will receive Sponsor package and/or special event souvenirs. • Hotel rooms will be booked at the Beau-Rivage Palace for the VIP and Sponsors … Spectators Extra attention will be paid to spectator facilitation to get to the events as it could be dif- ficult to get to the village as some roads will have to be closed. Lausanne benefits from a long and extensive experience in hosting mass participation international sport events in the city that requires to close roads during the day and is therefore used to deal with the inconvenience it might cause to the spectators to get to the competitions venues and the effect that such closure might have an the daily traffic in the city. … Technical Officials The organising committee would work in close collaboration with the ITU officials to make sure that all technical aspects are under control. They will make sure that all requirements are met and that the technical officials have access to all the necessary information in due time. The organising committee would share all the information with the ITU technical officials. Furthermore, the ITU officials, the NF officials and the ITU staff will receive exactly the same race package as the competitors.
