TRIATHLON 2015 ยท CHICAGO GRAND FINAL 152 PARATRIATHLON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS COUNTRIES PUNCH TICKETS TO RIO WITH CHICAGO CHAMPIONS Ten paratriathletes were crowned World Champi- ons on the second day of competition at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Chicago. Australia awed the crowds with an impressive three wins. Australia's Bill Chaffey was one of victors for the country, scoring his fifth PT1 World Championship title while Katie Kelly made her debut on top of the women's PT5 podium with guide Olympic silver me- dallist Michelle Jones. USA also prevailed on home soil with a sweep of the podium in the women's PT2 sport class headed by Allysa Seely, while Italian Michele Ferrarin came back for the win in the men's PT2 sport class after trailing in the water. Stefan Daniel (CAN) was the first athlete to take down the finish tape in Chicago, bringing home his first world title in the men's PT4 sport class. In the women's race, Lauren Steadman (GBR) completely crushed the field by holding onto a lead that she earned early. All six of these champions secured their country a spot in Rio as the winner of the sport classes that will debut at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics.
