TRIATHLON 2015 ยท HAMBURG 84 THE NEED FOR SPEED BRITS FIRE UP IN A FURIOUS SPRINT Proving that she is also capable at dominating in a sprint, USA's Gwen Jorgensen claimed victory at the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Hamburg. With Great Britain's Vicky Holland giving Jorgensen some pres- sure up until the last 500 metres, the 11-time WTS consecutive winner showcased her speed and pure talent by breaking away on the blue carpet to ulti- mately take home yet another gold. "A lot was going through my head at the end, Vicky really pushed me. I could feel her right there on my shoulder, so I knew it was going to be a fight until the end," said Jorgensen. Holland, who had earned the only other WTS title at this point in the season, displayed a phenomenal performance on the day to finish with the silver medal. Behind her, compatriot Non Stanford showed she was back in fighting form after missing a year of competition when she pushed to join the podium with bronze.
