ATHLETES' BIOS - MEN POR JOAO PEREIRA Back in 2014, Portugal's Joao Pereira was the one to watch, becoming a regular on the podium on both the Series and World Cup circuits. After qualifying for Rio 2016, he finished just outside the medals in 5th place, and now heads to Tokyo 2020 for a second bite at the apple. The European Champion in 2017, Pereira knows how to perform on the big stage, and will need to call on all of his experience to realise his dreams of an Olympic medal.
