ATHLETES' BIOS - WOMEN CAN AMELIE KRETZ Canada's Amelie Kretz hit the headlines in 2013 with a first World Triathlon Cup gold on home turf in Edmonton, beating the likes of Flora Duffy and Katie Zaferes. Bronze in the U23 World Championships followed and again in the Junior/U23 Mixed Relay a year later. Since then, the 28-year-old has been a regular in and around the top ten on the circuit and helped Team Canada to fifth at the 2019 Mixed Relay World Championships. After finishing 34th at Rio 2016, Kretz will be ready to stand up to the pressures of the biggest stage of them all.
