ATHLETES' BIOS - WOMEN AUS JAZ HEDGELAND Jaz Hedgeland, representing Australia, got a taste of her first major triathlon competition at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in 2012, where she placed first in the individual and team races. At the start of 2015, she competed in Tasmania and New Zealand, she became the Under 23 Oceania Sprint distance Champion and the Under 23 and Elite Australian Olympic distance Champion. More recent career highlights include gold at the 2018 Dongdaihe ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup and silver at the 2019 Moreton Bay OTU Triathlon Oceania Championships. In 2021 she won the Oceania Triathlon Championships and Cup Port Douglas, as well as the Gold Coast Oceania Triathlon Cup. Jaz will make her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020.
