ATHLETES' BIOS - MEN POR JOAO SILVA Joao Silva has been a consistent performer at the highest level of the sport for over a decade and is a legendary figure in Portuguese triathlon. In 2010 he scored a first World Cup victory in Monterrey and a year later topped the World Series podium for the first time. A 9th-place finish at London 2012 kick-started a brilliant run of medal-winning form and after finishing 35th in Rio 2016, the 32-year-old will head to Tokyo with unfinished Olympic business.
