ATHLETES' BIOS - WOMEN USA SUMMER RAPPAPORT 2019 was a standout year for Summer Rappaport, starting the season strongly with silver at the World Triathlon Cup Cape Town, and another at the World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama as part of a USA podium sweep. The same year she won gold at the World Triathlon Cup Huatulco, helped USA win bronze at the Mixed Relay Series in Edmonton and was the first triathlete to qualify for the USA with a fifth place finish at the Olympic Qualification Event in Tokyo. Rappaport has had a strong training block, based in Monte Gordo in Portugal, leading into Tokyo with The Triathlon Squad, an elite international training group coached by Paulo Sousa.
