ATHLETES' BIOS - WOMEN ESP MIRIAM CASILLAS Miriam Casillas Garcia of Spain has produced a tally of excellent results in her triathlon career. The 2016 Spanish national champion, a World Triathlon Cup medallist and a Rio 2016 Olympian, Casillas has her focus set on making Tokyo 2020 her greatest and biggest race yet. Olympian and National Champion were not the only titles Casillas was awarded in 2016, as she graduated from medical school that same year. The 29-year-old trains under the guidance of Paulo Sousa in the Triathlon Squad and will be looking to improve on her 43rd place at Rio 2016.
