FUN FACTS 13 A total of 13 countries have won triathlon medals at the Olympics, with nine different nationalities winning gold. Only Switzerland & Great Britain have won multiple gold medals. MEDALS Australia, Switzerland & Great Britain have the most Olympic triathlon medals with five each from men's and women's races. Great Britain, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand are the only countries to have won a medal of each color. 5X Two women and three men on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic start lists have won medals in previous Olympic Games – Nicola Spirig and Vicky Holland on the women's side, Jonathan Brownlee, Henri Schoeman and Javier Gomez Noya on the men's side. 2&3 Alistair Brownlee (GBR) is the only athlete to have won two Olympic gold medals, at London 2012 and Rio 2016. 2X 151 - World Triathlon Media Guide Tokyo 2020
