FUN FACTS AGE STATS The youngest triathlete lining up in Tokyo will be Oscar Coggins (HKG), just 21 years of age. Only one year older, 22, will be the youngest female: Egyptian Basmla Elsalamoney. 21 On the Tokyo 2020 Olympic start lists, Mario Mola (ESP) and Vendula Frintova (CZE) have more World Triathlon Championship Series (formerly WTS) race starts than anybody else with 73 each. 73 STARTS Mario Mola is also the most successful athlete in the WTCS circuit, with 16 wins, for 10 wins in 35 races of Flora Duffy. WINS If we talk about effectiveness, Mola has won 22% of the WTCS he has started, same as Javier Gomez Noya while Jonathan Brownlee has won 23% of his WTCS races. On the women's side, the most effective athlete is also Flora Duffy, winning 28,5% of her WTCS races, while Katie Zaferes has won 12,5% of hers. % At 39 years old, Swiss Nicola Spirig and South African Gillian Sanders will be the oldest competitors. Javier Gomez Noya (ESP), with 38 years, will be the oldest man. 39 There will be two pairs of brothers competing in Tokyo: the Polyanskiy's (ROC) and the Sagiv's (ISR).
