MARGRET IJDEMA At a young age Margret became paralysed from the waist down while practicing her work in equestrian sport. At full gallop, she rolled over and went from a walking life to a sedentary life. Margret decided that a positive approach to life was the only way forward and she found Para Triathlon. She is the four-time National Sprint Champions in the Netherlands, earned the silver medal in the 2019 Besancon Para Triathon World Cup and bronze in the 2020 Devonport World Para Triathlon Series in the PTWC class.
