MAMI TANI Tani Mami lost her right leg to osteosarcoma during college. She has since competed in three Paralympic Games with a prosthetic limb in the long jump. Now married and with a son, she is focussed on Para Triathlon at Paralympic Games at Tokyo2020. Tani won her very first World Championship race, PT4 class, held in Rotterdam in September 2017. This was also Japan's first-ever Para Triathlon World Championship gold medal. Selected as flag-bearer for their country at the Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony.
