GEERT SCHIPPER The tight Dutch grip on the PTWC podiums over the years has been thanks in part to Geert Schipper, the 44-year-old winning his first national title back in 2013 and going on to scoop a host of Series and Cup medals. His most recent gold success came in WPS Yokohama in 2019, and he will be once again putting it all on the line in a bid to finally overcome his great rival and compatriot Jetze Plat on the biggest stage of them all, having won silver at Rio 2016.
