MIKHAIL KOLMAKOV Mikhail Kolmakov has been a talented runner since he was a kid. In 2003 he suffered an injury while serving in the military that resulted in his left hand being amputated. He continued to serve until 2015 when he took up para triathlon and a year later he was Russian national champion. A first Para World Cup win came in 2018 and was soon followed by a Series win in Iseo, then in 2019 Mikhail set himself up nicely for the Paralympics with victory at the Tokyo Para World Cup test event, a result he will be looking to repeat for real in August.
