ANTOINE PEREL OLIVIER LIONEL (GUIDE) A former athletics devotee, France's Antoine Perel announced his arrival on the para triathlon scene in 2017 with silver at the Para Cup Besançon. The 35-year-old, who suffers from a rare eye disorder that affected the cone cells of his retina, won the PTVI Open Race at the 2017 World Championships before an incredible elite season in 2019 saw him win two Para Cup golds and a silver. Perel ran a 17:11 5km at the inaugural WTPS in Leeds in June.
