ALEJANDRO SANCHEZ PALOMERO After a motorbike accident at the age of 17 left him with reduced mobility and feeling in his right arm, Alejandro Sanchez Palomero continued his love his sport – in particular swimming – joining the Spanish national team in 2007. In 2008, just four years after his accident, Palomero won Paralympic swimming bronze at Beijing 2008. Fast forward to 2014 and looking for a new challenge, friends introduced Alejandro to the world of triathlon and he fell in love with the sport. He has since collected a host of medals at the top of the sport, the most recent victory coming in Banyoles Para Cup in 2019, 12 months after he won silver in the 2018 World Championships on the Gold Coast.
