RIO 2016 PARALYMPIC GAMES There was an air of celebration surrounding the long-awaited debut for triathlon at the Paralympic Games and the action did not disappoint. Six medal events were on the programme, with the men's PT1 (now PTWC) class, the women's PT5 and the PT2 and PT4 for both men and women. With 60 athletes qualified, the race was on for the sport's first Paralympic medals on Copacabana Beach on 10-11 September 2016.
