Team Japan closed out the Asian Games with a masterclass performance to earn Mixed Relay gold in Hangzhou, their third of the Games. Team China secured a sensational silver in front of huge crowds and Team Hong Kong capped the podium with bronze. Uzbekistan's Aleksandr Kurishov had led the first wave of twelve men through the swim with Japan's Kenji Nener right on his heels, who then carved out a sizable lead to hand off to the team's other individual champion, Yuko Takahashi. It was then a huge 40-second advantage handed over to teammate Takumi Hojo who extended the lead even further before Yuka Sato sealed the comfortable win, China's Huang producing a quick final transition to start the run in front of Hong Kong's Charlotte Hall where she was able to remain to the line, the pair securing silver and bronze respectively. 2 Oct 2023 Asian Games - Mixed Relay 200 contents
