30 Jul 2023 Mixed Relay There would be no denying Team France yet another Mixed Relay title in Sunderland back in July, where even the prospect of serving a late, 10-second penalty wasn't enough to prevent the French from making it three golds from three over a memorable weekend in the north east of England. Tom Richard had set them on their way before Emma Lombardi picked up the duties, as well as a swim penalty that at one point threatened to derail the team's dominance. However Lombardi was able to hand over to Saturday's individual champions; first Pierre Le Corre and then it was Cassandre Beaugrand left to steer the team home. It was Beaugrand who had to serve the 10-second penalty yet still soared home over 20 seconds clear of Great Britain's Jessica Fullager, Solveig Lovseth hauling Norway into bronze after New Zealand also faced a late penalty. 49 contents
